I sent off an e-mail to find out if the price includes both the tach and the speedo. Hopefully it does, as I'm interested.

I got an e-mail back from them and seemed kind of canned. So I sent another one off asking them to clarify it a little bit more. I figure for 70 bucks, it should definitely come with both. They said it would, but I want to make sure it includes both for the same price. And since I don't know if there's a difference in the guages between the S and the Naked, I asked about that, to make sure they will work on both. I'll let you guys know when I hear back.

I heard back from them, and the person that does their responses doesn't seem to have a clue about bikes. Does anyone know if the S and the naked models use the same guages, or are they different? They also said that buying in a large quantity will significantly reduce the price. Trying to talk me in to being a dealer, I guess, they said if I bought 50(yikes) it would be for 30 bucks off the price of each one. As I am SOOO not buying that many without having people already lined up, I'll see what it would be for less numbers. Anybody interested, let me know and I'll put it into motion.

I'd take a pair for $40 or so (for both) plus shipping, etc.
That could be a fun gathering event.
I think that the SV and the SVS have the same gauges, but I'm not positive.

That setup for the R1 looks pretty trick but my question is:
Does anyone remember if our needles are lighted?
If the needles aren't lit, you may only be able to see what rpm you're at when you're at exactly 5K, 6K, 7K when the needle blocks out the light coming from the number.
Maybe not, but that's just a thought I had looking at the picture.

Hadn't thought about that one. In addition, there is a light inside the guage that lights up the face, so that would have to be disabled as well. I'm not too sure if I'm all that interested anymore. The only thing that I would like to do is have both the Tach and the Speedo both be the same color!! White preferred. So I'm going to go on a hunt for that somewhere else and I'll post what I find.

i know it's kinda cheezy but i like em... the reverse ones rock! they are the same as factory equipped on my wifes TDi New Beetle. i'm not a fan of the -Standard- style indiglo ones.. i'm one of the 3 that have pre-ordered for the tooling to be picked up. come on! i need 12 more of you to join in.. i'd like to have these by summer!

THe problem is, the guages for bike that I know only have a tach(digital speedo) are still $70. IF they want $70 each for the tach and speedo they are insane. And no, the guage faces from the nekkid at svs will not interchange.

It may look trick, but from my own experience with the indiglo gauges, the reading you see may be off. Say you were looking to shift right at redline but with the indiglo guage your redline would not neccesarly be at your bikes true redline. It's not as accurate as it seems.
that's what the rev limiter is for. :D

I love how this pops up every couple months, and there's always that same four people in line hoping to get their indiglo guages...

Yeah...
I'd like to get these, but right now if I'm going to spend money on the bike, it'll be to fix my plastics, or put SS braided brake lines, or an exhaust... Gauges aren't worth money to me...

I would, but I don't have a Civic. Or a naked bike. Sorry.

do they have a warranty on these? My experience with indiglo technology is that the fluorescence degrades with time-little black areas appear and spread. It doesn't work that well for constant use.

I know this pops up every so often and some of you guys are probably tired of it, but hey I can't help it, I like 'em. And I'm considering giving them a try, so a little constructive help would be appreciated.
SV650S illumiglo gauges (http://www.streetracerparts.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=190)
Anyone around here installed these gauges on an SV or SVS or seen them installed? Pictures? They state that the needles don't need to be removed and that makes me really happy..... but I know SV needles don't light up, and I wonder what that looks like at night. My primary concern is that if I can't see the info, these are pretty useless, despite how cool I think they look.
Thanks for you help,
Nick
