What are you trying to do? Switchable TRE perhaps, i just wired up one. went well, works great!. I could help with that .

I was thinking about wiring up an emergency startup mode. I have a tendancy to leave bike in the parking lights mode which drains the battery. Well more than one time I've had enough power that the lights are on but there isn't enough power to crank the starter.
So I want a switch that shuts down the all the lights while the bike is on. Basically a variant of the "cold start" and "stealth mode" mods that I've seen on various web pages.
I was also thinking about wanting to install a switchable dealer mode switch that I can get to w/o turning off the bike.

Usually turning off all the lights doesn't do it either. I tried that too.
I did the same thing. I use to leave the lights on too. Solution is for you to stop using the kill switch. The proper way to shut off a running bike is to use the key. That way you shut off the power.
Better to run a jump start lead from battery that you can plug in a small battery charger without taking apart the seat. A small charger cost about $9. If battery is not fully dead the charger unit is enough to get you going. Of course this does not help if your out on the road.
Is your friend still interested in a buying a bike?

Yeah I think you and he have been talking. BTW, I bought all the parts, the swich, relay and I've been tracing wiring diagrams. Anybody with a soldering iron interested in giving me a hand with this project?
