Sport bike impounded 11/14 on 8 West?

I was heading down 8 West this afternoon and noticed that a CHP officer had pulled over a sport bike. The biker was sitting on a guard rail and the officer looked like he was lecturing him. I figured he was just giving him some speech about slowing down and being more careful or what not. I then was back on 8 W maybe a half hour later and I saw a tow truck with the bike loaded up on it! The CHP officer was still there too. I guess the officer figured a lecture wasn't enough... :eek:

In other news, Backslash and I saw an abandoned 600RR on the left side of the 15 N today before 8am a little South of the 78.

...hmmm, guy either didn't have a license, or was going uber fast, or was being a smartass to the CHP, who knows..


In other news, one of the guys on our ride today got a speeding ticket on the 78(he can post about it if he cares to).

...or expired tags, no insurance, no proof of insurance or a warrant. Lots of reasons that bike could be impounded.
