I just got my Scorpion SS standard mount today from Pipecity. Cool huh. But not really. I opened up the box to check out my new can only to find a small dent the size of a dime in the center of the can on the scorpion sticker side.:( It looks like the stap may cover it but I don't want to cut my pipe yet just in case it don't. It also had some black crap on the tail pipe end. I could probably rub that off with some metal pollish though. I called and left a message with pipecity. I will call them tomorrow if I don't hear back from them first. If the dent was on the other side I wouldn't really care. It sucks to have to hear my bike sound like a crap for another week. I hope this gets resovled quick.

Has anyone else had any dents in their scopion cans? Should I quit being a bitch and install this thing? Should I say F@$k it and get something else? My other choices where the TBR C2, Yosh RS3, and the M4.

The package looked fine so I don't think it was caused by UPS. Though the packaging in the Scorpion box looked shaddy. All that was wrapped around the can was tissue paper and some thin bubble wrap.

Sorry for the rambling, I am a bit pissed.

Id try to get a new pipe if I were you. From your post it looks as though it's a big issue to you, so better to get what you paid for.

You paid good money so you're entitled to a can without a dent, dont put it on your bike and wait for Pipecity to get back to you.
It's a pain in the ass but it'll be totally worth the wait.

Scorpion pipes are packaged pretty securely. The pipe itself fits snugly inside of a seperate section in the shipping box, wrapped in bubble wrap and butcher paper. No dents or scratches should have occured. This is a pipecity boo boo.

check Pipe City's website:

http://pipecity.com/returns.htm

Any damage to your box and/or its contents from shipping should be reported directly to the freight carrier. Pipe City is not responsible for shipping damages.

It may not actually be damage from UPS but you should call them first. UPS stuff is insured and they'll contact Pipe City and make arrangements for refunds, etc. Has happened to me before on stuff ordered from other companies...

Update:

Called pipecity this morning and they are sending me out a new pipe but it is coming ups ground. They also faxed me the return sticker to send it back. They were totally appologetic. I guess Scorpion had another company doing their packaging and there were a few cases were the cans were being dented due to this packaging. My damaged can was a result of this. They went with this company for 30 days before desiding to bring packaging back in house. So now my new can is on it's way and is being hand inspected and pack before they ship it. I give thumbs up for the way Pipecity and Scorpion is handling this but I have to wait til 5 days to get it (it's coming from Indiana). The cool thing is that they are sending my new can out before they recieve the damaged one. The only thing they could have done better is send it to me overnight or sooner than ground shipping.

I will up date this post when I recieve it.

Wow, a lousy shipping company can't even keep a contract for a whole month without denting a bunch of pipes, cheapasses.

Cool to hear you got it resolved so proffesionally.
