Anyone have any experience with this jacket? Thinking about picking one up and just wondering how people like it. I'm 5'11" 150 lbs, and I know they have a size chart, but if anyone has one of the jackets, what do you recommend for my skinny butt?? LOL

I was interested in that jacket but then I saw it in person.

It felt very chinsy.

It's not too bad. I have one and if you're on a serious budget and you don't want to ride around in a t-shirt then it's not so bad. I crashed in it and it held up just fine and I still wear it. The problem is when it gets cold you have to bundle up because of the perforations, but it's perfect for summer.

I'd say it's more or less like the Phoenix 2.0 with maybe 50% more protection; it's not great, but it's not bad.

At your size I'd look at sizes 42-44.

Thanks Silver. I have the Phoenix for warm weather and I just bought the Blaster 2.0 non-perforated with the thermal liner for days like today. All they had at the shop was down to 42, and it seems to fit ok, the sleeve length is good, the waist and shoulder width seems OK, but I just wonder if it should be more snug around the torso. No shops in the area have a 40 in any color so I'd have to special order....and then i wonder if the sleeves would be too short. I wonder if tailoring is an option. Anyone ever try this?

Thanks for the help. I returned the Blaster 2.0 and bought the Mercury jacket. Much softer, with all the same selling points, plus it seems to fit my shape, MUCH better.

Good for you. Having a good fit is just as important as anything else. I do know that the Blaster 2.0 tends to run a little wide in the torso or mid-section and I can see how it could potentially be dangerous in a bad crash.

Glad you found what you wanted...
