Im trying to get back into riding my road bike but i don't know anyone other than my pops that rides around here. If anyone would like to go riding several times a week let me know. I usually ride down the San Gabriel river all the way down to seal beach since the river is about 2 miles away.
This is a pic of my bike: Trek 5500 oclv series OCLV Carbon 120

Motivated by the bicycle-squid videos from New York?
I'd ride with ya, but I don't own a bicycle anymore.

damn, that sux. I gotta get me a new mtb soon or at least fix the old 1. I got this road bike for free. I had an old trek that was passed down and rode that for serveral years untill the frame cracked. Then i heard about someone saying that the frames are warrenty'd for life... so i i went back to my uncle to get the receipt (note: this was a very very old trek road bike.... receipt was all yellow n'shit when it should have been white) and sent it to trek.... waited like 2 months and i was like "wtf, where is my frame??" They said they had apparently "misplaced" my paperwork. So to make me happy they were going to send me the newest model at the time. They said the US Postal team was using that frame and i was like omg no way! So i recieved it, and wow, perfect... even the color. I bought all new shimano equip for it, rims, tires, forks, blah blah blah. The main thing is that i got that expensive frame for free. i forget how much it was worth... but yeah thats my story on this 1

I always wanted a Colnago, but I eventually gave up 26" and 700cc because it fucks up my 20" experience way too much.
My Stumpjumper has slicks on it right now, from my last abortive attempt at becoming a roadie.
MTB and Road biking just can't compare to the zen/rush of Flatland, and Vert.
