Thanks Rick for hosting the carb sync thingy yesterday. Rick was a stud, hopping from one bike to another..... sync-ing our carbs.

It may just be a placebo effect, but I think my throttle response is a bit smoother.

It was really nice meeting everybody.

Also........ Thanks Todd for the free sample ;) .............. amateurs are cool.

Yes, thanks Rick... I definitely noticed a difference, but then, my carbs were *WAY* out of sync... But I tried my simple butt-dyno test of trying to pull up a wheelie, and it is coming up easier than before. Either the carb sync was necessary, or I'm starting to get better at it... So it's probably the carb sync :D

Surprised or pleasantly surprised? The difference is important! LOL

I would like to do my carb sync sometime soon as well... especially if I'm getting some free porn!! LOL! Todd, how do you make money giving this stuff away? ;)

Lastly, I'd kinda like to learn how to do a wheelie without killing myself or my bike... who's gonna teach me how to, "get it up"? ;);)

thanks again for the help, seems to run better now. Hope you like the dvd.

I can afford to give a few away once in a while, just like a drug dealer, 1st one is free, then when you get addicted I make take all of your money.

Too bad bike night got broken up by the cops, wouldn't you know once I start going the cops come by, coincidence?

Jimm,
Simplest way to do a wheelie...

In 1st gear (while moving, no clutch allowed), run it up to anywhere between 4-6,000 rpms. Close the throttle completely, so the front end loads up. Crack the throttle open quickly, and the front wheel will come off the ground.

How much it comes up depends on how much you loaded the front end, how quickly you open the throttle (and it'll be easier after a carb sync if they're way off ;) ), and your seating position and/or whether you pull up on the bars when you open the throttle. I'd recommend if you're going to try it, just start small, it'll take a lot of work to flip the bike (at least it does when you're my size), After hundreds of littler ones (so my friend says, I haven't done that many), you'll start to get to the point where you're pulling it up a little higher and riding it longer.

Bear in mind I suck at wheelies, and don't do them very often, so take it for what it's worth...

Oh, I thought the cop was being a total ass and was kicking everyone out. O well, had work to do anyways, I can't be away from the computer too long or the emails and orders build up.

When's my turn to sync my carbs?

Hopefully I'll be doing my valve's this saturday ... should be interesting ... Gregg and I will be working together to figure it out ... :)
