View Full Version : SV in Stuntshow

Here is a video Paul helped me upload for everyone to take a look at.
It's kinda large (11.8M), but worth the download time.
It's a video of me messing around during a show over in Germany. For the first two and a half minutes I am tooling around on a couple stripped down dirt bikes (the second one is really stripped down - watch it to find out what I mean). For the last three and a half minutes I am working the neked SV to it's limutes.
Pay no attention to the fact that my neked SV turns yellow while in this video. I think it has something to do with the digital compression or something.
Here's the link Paul made for me:

(save it to your computer first, right click, and save as...)

Nice...very nice. One question - how can I be a :squid: too?
How do you pull wheelies that *stay* up? I've done about an 11:00 once for around 1.2 sec...and then it faded away like all pipe dreams. Do I just need practice, or is it that I'm not shifting my weight correctly, or what? I'd really like 2 know.
Thanx.

Now I see a reason to keep that silly rear grab bar on the bike. That would help a lot in doing stand up wheelies.
I'll have to practice those one handed stoppies.

Those stoppeis are awesome! How fast are you going when you lift out of the seat and grab the front brake. does that bike have any suspention mods on the front forks, and also does it have brake mods? definately very well executed maneuvers!!
thanks for the clip, it was a good show!

Those are trials bikes. They're pretty neat bikes, my dad used to have an old Bulltaco.

If that's anything like a carnitas taco, then I'm down.

:bump: cause it needs to be watched some more...
Nice VId...
Just takes a little manhandling, practice and good throttle/brake control.

Yeah there is a link to a newer Video, with the same rider, its like 2003 or 2004, he is a lot better now. The link is broken though.

I believe he may also be one of the Europeans that keeps one-upping our American stunters on the longest Stoppie record. Over 1000 feet, unofficially, BTW.

He's very very good. I had no doubt he could do it. He's still human and not error proof.
I would get under there. But would you put kids under there?

Does anyone else stunt the SV??? We have an airport at our disposal. It is sweet!!!! No cops and 8000 feet of clean smooth asphalt. We hold an annual stuntshow/hooligan day. We call it Stuntapaloosa. We have around 150 bikes usually.:D
