Ever have a day when you swear to god you have been freaking cursed?
I left my grandparents for work. It was about 6:00 AM sun not up yet. I'm getting to the first turn that I'm really familiar with and I'm about to crank up the juice when the front and rear slip sideways one foot on a huge strip of dirt in the middle of the road that magically appeared.
Thank goodness for my non-existant dirt bike experience! My first thought was "oh god my new bike doesn't have frame sliders". Then the tires grabbed and I mentally beat the shit out of myself for outdriving my headlights.
Then it was super foggy and there was an accident in front of me. The rear axle came off a semi. This semi was hauling gravel which it dumped all over the road. I couldn't see the gravel because it was black gravel and it was foggy. I stopped somehow. There was six cars before me that didn't manage that.
Then at work I was taking the 57 southbound to the 91 eastbound ramp. And the big gas guzzling company truck started drifting sideways. Thats odd...it stopped. I gave it some more gass and it REALLY started driving sideways. This is about the time I notice a nearly invisible sheen of some fluid in the middle of the ramp. Rear starts to drift out and I steer into the turn, it grabs again. In the rear view mirror, the truck behind me spins in circles.
Mondays can be a bitch.
