Sinkhole in Sun Valley

I just seen on the news you guys in CA are getting some serious rain. I also seen the hugo mother of a sink hole in sun vally. I thought the pot holes out here made riding bad, but a sink hole the size of a semi DAMN.

Yea, were getting dumped on. My main freeway access road gets closed EVERY time it rains due to mudslide also:mad:

yep tujunga blvd. about half a mile from my house..there is a big pit on the side and a drving range and RC track on the other side of the hole..... I was out in the desert and came home to here this ..kind of cool they won't get hat fixed anytime soon...

There's another one in La Tuna canyon but that's off on a private road and there's about 100 feet of Big Tujunga missing, fell in the river, got a cool pic of that one yesterday.

they said something like 60ft wide x 30 ft long x 30 ft deep.

as of today over 150 ft wide and 40 ft deep...that truck in the pic above , is now at the bottom...

how do they determine which side is the long and which is the wide? maybe it's 60' long and 30' wide eh?

how did this sink hole happened? was the ground really that soft to go down that deep? dang it's surreal, first time i've seen one hehe
