Well, another Christmas has come and is almost gone so how did we all do????
I got my Leo Vince High Mount, Jet Kit and K&N and some other stuff not bike related... I did pretty well.. I love the pipe and the bike finally feels like it isn't being held back anymore... Did a few rides to get the new feel of the bike and I couldn't have asked for much better...
I would like to thank Tom (peaty) and his wife for their patience while my bike was in their garage torn apart for a week... The wait was well worth it..
As for the pipe... It is definitely loud, there is no doubt there but I think it is really a nice loud and not a obnoxious loud.. What a change...
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas.... :D

Well I got some more tools for working on my bike. I've got so many now that I will actually need a tool box. This surprises my family because they've always known me to be about as handy with tools as Pee-Wee Herman.
My roommate also got me a bottle of nail polish so I will stop using hers. I don't use it on my finger nails but as a substitute for lock tight. It is a nice shade of chrome blue, though, and I do have a shirt that would match it real well . . .

I didn't get anything moto-related... Nor did I get as much honeymoon money as I had hoped for... But overall, I did good. The folks gave me money for a computer, so I can actually check the board from home now (Burst, watch out, now I'm REALLY gunning for #2 again)...
Got some clothes, and some DVD's, and a few other little things, and had a good time at my first Christmas with the (soon-to-be) missus...
Speaking of which, <gary coleman voice> "WhatchootalkingaboutPunkBrad?!"
You gettting hitched, buddy?

RIP, PunkBrad.
In the short time I knew him he became one of my best friends here in Southern California. He was always willing to give me a hand whether it be with mounting handlebars or mounting a screen door. He would crack jokes regardless of the situation and always kept the mood light. He was a great friend to ride with.
Now he did look kind of funny, sort of like an overgrown Charlie the Brown. And what was with those socks? He would also tell me the same thing or story 5 or 6 times before he would remember that he had already told me that. I know most of his stories verbatim. He was rather gassy too.
So in memory of Punk, you will be missed. :(

I was always kinda gassy, it’s the steady diet of Broccoli, Chicken Nuggets and cigars... hmm... must be it....
Now Kurt.. I’ve been with Des for close to 3 years, we’ve lived together for over about a year and a half, and things are still the same.
Im going riding on Sunday with the group, you are still welcome to come by anytime to wrench or hang out, and if you need me to help ay with tha tools, let me know..
and Des is still the same Des.. I think I owed it to her at least.. Don’t go off thinkin im dead meat yet.. Wait till I start every sentence with “My Wife says...” Then shoot me... until then, you keep plannin the rides, and ill keep showin up.. Im also thinkin about starting a poker or blackjack night at my place.. Anyone interested chime in.... that was her idea...
PS, My Wife says.. merry christmas to you and your brother, and Ward... :)

The *my wife says.....* phrase will come before you realize it. Just wait. You have no idea. Now you are going to become the old married couple just like V and I have. Going to bed early, up with the sun so you can get an early start on all the *honey-do's*....
No more late nights drinking with the guys, no more strip clubs, and soon, no more cigars. She owns you now. :D
hehe seriously tho, congrats man. That is great. Sounds like you are in pretty much the same situation V and I were. Things won't change much. Just a last name and it will be all official and legal like. V and I lived together for almost 4 years before we were married, we were engaged for three. Only difference now is she gets to wear a ring that cost me a small fortune and she doesn't ask if it is ok to spend $500 on curtains.... for one room........ :raise:

Yeah, just wait... I'm not even married and most of my stories revolve around things that I've done or planned to do with my fiancee... But you'll still be able to go on rides... Maybe once a month or so...
And I'm definitely down for the poker night... I haven't had a regular poker game going since college... I've got some nice poker chips if you want me to bring them...

Well congratulations to PB.
Thanks to Sandie for letting me sit in with her families chrismas since I was stuck down here.
I got myself a MIG welder for the holidays. Yeah me!
We've been meaning to start a poker night for a while now, Jeff just refuses to play with cheap chips so it keeps being on hold till he buys some.

Hey Matt,
Not obnoxious, huh? Tom's pussy neighbor doesn't seem to think so. He sent his tubby son out to bitch about it when I started mine up.
Wait till you go to parking garages. Car Alarms, heh, heh.

My Christmas was spent in the hospital with my girlfriend, so I have officially rescheduled it until she gets out. Which hopefully will be tomorrow, as I'm sick and tired of that place. I've spent a total of eight nights there since she first went in (she's been there twice) and my back is killing me from those damn chairs.

Keep me updated, I'm interested... I can even provide chips if necessary...
I went from playing 2-3 times a week my last semester of college, to being able to count the times on one hand in the past two years that I've had poker nights... And never against any real competition...

Hey, congrajamalations on the engagement Punky-B.
And in response to the original topic of this thread, I got a cool motorcycle book for x-mas, called Motorcycle Design & Technology: How and Why by Gaetano Cocco, published in collaboration with Aprilia. I just started into it, but it's a really cool technical look into the physics of exactly how and why motorcycles work. I haven't seen anything this technical and in-depth before, lots of diagrams and formulas, but it's still readable and understandable without doing the math yourself.
Brad, if you don't own this book already, I think you would love it.
The link below should take you to the book on amazon:

Hey, congrats Brad!
I got a neat little NetMD portable. Kinda cool. You can fit between two and three albums on each disc. Paired with a set of earbuds, it might be just the thing for riding music.
I also got a huge-ass George Foreman indoor/outdoor grill. Now I can bbq even on rainy days. =P~
Oh, and I got a bunch of cash. Most of it probably won't go directly toward bike stuff, but it will help to pay off some debt, so I should be able to pick up some new, decent tires and an exhaust in the new year. :D

Wow..congrats Punk, or so I think! Heh....well anyhoo, now is definitely not the time for my anti-marriage speech, so I'll suffice it to say, I wish you the best!
She literally will own you once you sign that contract..or at least half of you heh. Still, that ring is definitely good for a few 'Honey-do-me's' to be sure. ;)

I love ordering stuff.
:clown:
After hearing Gregg's (Burst) Yosh exhaust, and then changing my pants, I ordered the Yosh RS-3 Slip on Race in stainless from Cycle Gear. $322.00 with tax.
I also got the TCP Lowers from Not-so-Fun Bike center for $370.00
Man, the wife has been good to me.
Now the real question. How safe would it be to run the slip-on without jetting? JUST until I can get it into Lee's.
Happy New Year.

congratulations PB! Planning weddings is a pain. Time sure does fly though. Before you know it, it'll be the wedding day
santa ordered me a leo vince carbon exhaust and one of Burst's undertails, and a jet kit. Nothing's arrived yet, so maybe its a new years present.
Bought myself a late xmas (or is it new year's?) present (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004S8F6/104-9520620-8490362). I love toys. *sniff*
