Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to come to this trackday (I really want to though!). And I'm kinda intimidated by the big track...do you have any idea what your schedule is going to look like for next year? I have a credit that I bought off of one of the socalsvriders and I'm wondering if I need to use it before the end of the year... Thanks!

1. This track day is not at the Big Track, but at Streets of Willow.
2. If you can ride on the freeway, you can ride the Willow Springs big track.
I think he meant he can't make my last "Streets" event, so he was looking past that on the schedule and my only other event for the year is at the "Big Track". :)
04trix - your credit is good for a year from when you purchased it...plenty of time  You really should try the "Big Track" though if you get a chance. Maybe try an org. that runs a "C" group there and just cruise around the track a few laps...you may love it  Its a fun track, I am a lil intimidated by 8 & 9 too but the rest of the track is a blast! :D

I'm going to try and make this event. SBR runs a good trackday...Tons of track time....good lunch....great staff....fantastic price.
Last trackday with you guys on August 26th was my best time ever on the track. After lunch the race group pretty much consisted of Luke, David, and myself. We had such a blast......can't wait to do it again.
Cool! thanks for the kind words! :) we aim to please. I hope to see ya out there.
Kurt you gunna try to make it too?

Jeez! sorry to hear that but I'm glad you are ok! I was knocked out like that once at Pahrump and didn't have a clue where I was  other riders say I crawled back onto the track lol...wierd feeling not knowing or remembering whats going on...The track officials asked me where my friends were pitted, I told them they were at "the other track" and I would need a ride there  lol
If your bored or need a day off work on the 27th come on out and hang with us, we'd be glad to have ya along.
anyone else in on this one?

Definitely thinking about this one. I think it was last year around this time that I drove all the way out there and it was cancelled due to the rivers running across the track:D
I hoping it doesn't rain in a couple weeks.
Knightshade - Stinky - I hope you guys can make it!
Anyone else interested???? You'll get a ton of track time! Its all about VALUE with us :)
Someone asked if SocalSVriders could use the extra garage space again at this event. That wont be a problem
Who else is in?

Got it Stinky
Prayin for no rain here....good thing bout SBR though is we wont make ya ride in the rain!...if its raining hard and looks like it wont let up we'll cancel and give everyone rain checks...sucks to drive way out there to only have it cancelled, but at least you can go home and relax and take the rest of the day off from work :D BUT... Lancaster IS in the high desert so chances are "no rain"! ....or only a lil

Yes yes I know
Hey Ken,
Do we HAVE to be there by 7am? What time does the tech inspection and riders meeting start?
Ya if you can get there at 7 that would be best. That way we can get everyone through reg./check-in/tech. inspection before we hold the riders meeting and then get on the track ASAP.
Check-in and tech. inspection begins around 7:20-7:30 and the riders meeting will be held once we get everyone through that process so the sooner everyone gets there the sooner we can get on the track.
There is no penalty for being late of course but if you show up after tech/reg. are closed there may be a short delay in getting you processed.

Maybe my bike being such a heavy pig will work out for me then.
BAD NEWS!:
a copy of the e-mail I just sent to all my registered riders :( .....
To: Oct. 27th Registered trackday riders
From: SBRtrackday.com
Hello,
This is Ken with SBRtrackday.com. I regret to inform you that I have
just had to make the hard decision of canceling tommorows trackday. I
was not able to get enough riders registered for this event. The loss I
would have had to cover out of my own pocket would have been over a $1000
dollars.
With an ALS ambulance, a full contingent of corner workers and
lunch/breakfast included on top of my cost to rent and insure the track
you can imagine how close my margin is. Running only two groups to
ensure alot of track time for all riders means I need to get pretty
close to selling out just to break-even. Unfortunately I was not even able
to reach that point.
There has been no charge against the credit cards you registered with.
I was looking forward to this event myself, but I hope you all understand
the hard decision I had to make.
I appologize.
Sincerely,
Ken Kramp

Aw bummer! I wasn't planning on going to this trackday but I definitely feel for all the people getting psyched up for this event. I also understand the hard spot that Ken is in everytime he does a trackday. It's unfortunate that not enough people take advantage of the GREAT tracktime that SBR puts on. I hope your next event is more succesful and that people realize that you guys are the shit! ;)

Dammit! Just got the message. I like the message though, Ken from Dusty(?) Landscape? LOL.
Man, I was looking forward to this event. How bout we pay for two entries for double track time?:D
Well I guess Thursdays are harder for people to do trackdays on. And I agree, SBR does run some very good trackdays.

Very sad news, but understandable. I agree, IMO SBR is one of the best trackday orgs out there. Hopefully I can sqeeze a trackday in before the year is over. I just filled up my gas jug 15 minutes ago too :(

I know I've said it before but you guys are too cool! I am glad you understand! I've been stressed on this for about a week now and its a relief to hear these understanding comments. Thank you, Thank you, thank you!
Knightshade - sorry bout your birthday, I hope you guys can find another event to go to for this weekend or next week maybe. Check out biketweakers.com or trackdaycentral.com there are alot of events out there. If not live it up n party this weekend!
Stinky - LOL that is close to the name of the company I work for....that's wierd....I guess since I sent the e-mail from my work computer it tagged it somehow.
o4trix - ya hopefully word will get out a lil better and this will catch on eventually and I wont have a problem selling out one event a month. I have to rely on word of mouth and these message boards....I wish I had a ton of dough for advertising in magazines or t.v. even, but I obviously do not lol.
Jessejames - very cool thank you!

Nah, the voice message you left started out with you saying "Ken from .....Landscape..." before you corrected yourself. Kinda threw me off for a second because I recognized the number already.
OHHHH  i remember that....I was "technically" at my regular job making those phone calls but on an extended lunch...and was in the other work mode there for a second :D
