so.....being an sv owner, i'm not exactly the type of person who thinks that an r6 will automatically kick an sv's ass in the twisties, but that it has a lot more to do with the rider. I've always had just a bit of pride that I can stay up with my friends on I-4's. However, I guess I fell subject to my own medicine, i went on a ride with a guy who has a ninja 250 and has been riding street for only 3 months.

Let's just say I could barely stay within sight......and that not even for long.

I found out later that he's been riding dirt bikes for about 15 years.

I thought it was pretty funny that I didn't expect it to be a challenge to keep up with this guy on a bike like that, but he completely put me in my place.

How?

Too bad I look like a circus bear on a unicycle on Ninja 250.

I felt the same way on my buddies 250. Like a big fat goof.

Of course I feel like a big fat goof quite a bit.

I second that. You could have been a stupid :squid: like me and outrode yourself and wound up in a ditch trying to keep up. :P

It's always fun to see someone who really has skill handle a machine, regardless of displacement. I get tired of walking egos who think they are da bomb simply because they were able to get financing on a liter bike. Makes me wanna kick them in the nuts. :D

+2 for having big ones.

Never been beat by a 250. I made it close with ZX-6R though, but on the top end, he was bye-bye.

Fun while it lasted though

don't know if he crashed, but when he rode you could just tell he was in control - just one of those people who seems like he's not even trying...

Yeah...so remember that next time you get spanked by someone on a literbike. They have a better bike, more skill AND better credit. HAR! :D

I'm not saying that guy would be me. ;)

LOL I didn't need credit (paid cash), nor did I need a liter to "compensate" for my lack of "displacement". :D LOL Just kiddin' with ya. I'm sure most riders can spank me, I've got *zero* ego now that I've been humbled by gravity. I just want to enjoy the ride and not fall down and look like a :squid:

I  that :squid: smilie.
