Crashed hard

forgive lack of caps and such. one handed. sunday on ortega..after good day of fast riding, going back down hill..came around corner to find cars stopped. panicked, grabbed ton of front brake, lost front, then found grip and highsided spectacularly. came down HARD on left shoulder..cracked shoulder blade and 2 ribs. only hurts if i move or breathe. i so wanted to do "old farts ride." had on lots of armor so not even a scratch. i so suck.

That's awful. I'm glad you weren't more seriously injured, but that still sucks a metric crap-ton. :(

It's gonna hurt for at least 6 weeks. So don't even think about rushing back to normal. It's not going to happen.

Friend of mine who recently cracked ribs as well, was told by a therapist, to gently start moving your muscles around a couple of days afterwards. This will help prevent scar tissue from hindering movement during the healing process. Hurts. Sucks. But you gotta do it.

I did my turn now it's your! Look into some rubber stretch bands with handles.
