I would like to say thankyou to everyone that did not bid on the copper lower fairing on Ebay. Got it for $279 with no other bidders to drive up the cost.

Very sweet. I've been checking out all the copper parts on ebay lately. They go pretty quickly!

Very nice!
Let us know how the install goes. Also, thats pretty cheap for those fairings, so you got a good deal.

Cool. Have fun with the installation.
Funny story:
I thought I had busted the bottom-most bolt when I loosened it on one side, but didn't realize it goes all the way through the engine block to the other side. So it was loose, but I couldn't pull it out no matter what I tried, not realizing that I had loosened it from the bolt head and not the nut head.
Anyways, I spent a good couple of hours trying to figure out what to do and contemplating the worst (tapping out a new hole or bringing it back to the dealer or riding with a loose engine mount, etc.) Eventually, after clueing in, I kicked myself and everything went very quickly from that point on.

hopefully it looks better than the 05 yellow full fairings..saw one with those on at berts and made the bike look like a toy-cheap paint job and all

That is the cheapest I have seen them go for. Oneida's sells them for $380 plus shipping, was going to buy them in the spring if I didn't find something better, which I did! I will post some pictures when I get them on. Thanks!

The only thing I have read is people having problems with the upper and lower fairing not fitting tight. Either use selftapping screws (stainless) or those push pins used on the rear cowling to bring the gap together.

There is a whole tutorial on this install on (suzukisv1000.com). Just take your time and eventually it will all fit together properly. Good luck.
