I noticed that half of my brake light is out when I am not touching the brake. Can anybody lead me in the right direction on what is wrong so that I can fix it?

Brake light bulbs can half burn out - the running light element burns out and the brake light element in the same bulb is ok. Replace the bulb. At least, that's what it was on mine...

Will do. I should have thought of that instead of assuming right away that it was something for serious. But I will keep you guys updated.

Can anyone suggest a fix?
04 SV650s LED Brake lights.
Top three or four LEDs on both sides of brake light do not fully light up, but when the bike is running they turn all the way on.

When the bike is off and lights are on they are barely visible. Upon starting the ignition they turn on and work fine.

Sometimes my disc brake lock rattles around under my seat while riding, so I am trying to figure out if some wires have become damaged.

Please answer,
Mike

need to pull the light out and take a look at the wiring. I will ask around to see if this is common..LEDS should not burn out that quick

Thanks for asking around.
I took the bike to a Suzuki shop and 4 techs came out and were baffled. Some couldn't remember if the lights were supposed to be half-off when the ignition is on.
the mostg valid opinion is that my battery is being depleted from short rides that do not allow recharging.
The Lights to flicker a bit when the bike is on.
Other than that, the SV is running top notch.
My girlfriend, Ana, got me Racetech .90 springs for X-Mas...WHOOPEE! So the techs are going to swap them out for me.
PS: Can fork oil be removed without removing the forks, or without flipping bike on its back?;) ?

some say yes ...I don't think so...I just take the legs off and drain them completely...
