That's a shame. He still has enough inspired days at the races that would make me think about having him as 1 rider on a 2 bike team.

The article on crash.net was speculating his only chance for 2006 is being the 3rd rider for Kawasaki or Suzuki. The other teams are already full or won't take him back. I respect that he rides as hard as he possibly can every race, but I found it disappointing that he complained about the bike so much this year while Nicky Hayden had little to complain about and better results on the same bike.

Wasn't he complaining that the only reason he wasn't beating Rossi on a Honda was because he was on a Yamaha? And now he's saying he can't beat ANYONE *including Flibernau* because he's on a Honda.

This is Biaggi:  I bet you I could beat him with one cc tied behind my back.

HAHAHAH! (um, I'm kidding)

(referring to the biaggi + rossi tussle a few years back surrounding the running off the track / give 'em the bird incident.)

As much fun as it is to tease the guy, he didn't get his first bike till he was 18, and didn't start racing untill he was 19.... and he is *in* MotoGP:eek:

Yeah, a four-time World Champion, the only guy to beat Doohan on a regular basis in a straight-up fight in his first year on 500s; Max sucks, right ...

Max is finicky. When it's all there, though, he's as fast as anyone.

As much as I like to root for the hometown boy and the dominant rider in the sport, I really find myself rooting for the talented but personally flawed; the almost-talented but hard-working; in other words, the riders who come THIS CLOSE to the achievement they want so badly ...
