i've got a rear wheel. i need a rear rotor. a guy told me that most late model gixxer rotors work but the part #s don't seemthe same. suggestions?
srad generation rotor will work on your 00sv.newer generation has same bolt patern but diameter is smaller.
I have aftermarket rotor if you interested.it is Braking brand and used very short time.$50.

.... newer gen GSXR rotor (post-SRAD) is quite lighter as well.... i believe maybe 1/2 to 1lb.
the Braking rotor than Zoran has is probably even lighter yet, I would buy it if my bike wasnt SS prepped.

Edit: Oops forgot I have the Honda rear rotor. Duh!
Anyway here's my latest upgrades. My F3 rear wheel and R1 5 spoke front wheel ( I had the 3 spoke wheel before). Swap calipers to the faster yellow ones (had the blue). ;)
Next on my list is a bug screen and mount the gauges.

ooh damn, snap, you are too bloody cool
show me that thing lapping willow springs at 1:35 or less and i'll be impressed. otherwise save your yellow calipers for the gang at starbucks.
;)
ps i'm just messing about. looks nice and i will upgrade to the honda wheels when i get fast enough for it to matter.
this one is listed as curent lap time record holder for class.

Yeah, and he rides around the whole track on the rear wheel like that, no less. Spencer's a squid at heart. :)

i get that the wheel is not a show-only mod. true, i was in fact, giving james a bit of a hard time (mainly due to the yellow calipers comment). the final implication in my post was that i was not fast enough for it to matter. i'm hovering around 1:40 so until i get about 5-10 seconds faster, does a f2/3 wheel really mean that much to a slowpoke like me?

... i can smell your launches getting faster with a strapped front end.
why only half a front fender ??
when you actualy use front end fender may hit radiator with gsxr front.

hum record holder rides a .... Y E L L O W BIKE !!! :p
Okay to get 1:35 I'd have to paint my black track bike to yellow to get that kind of lap time. ;)

The bigger F3 wheel weighs a bit more so you will lose a little bit of power with this mod. So not a slowpoke mod as you'll be extra slow. ;)

good to know thanks. i feel even less guilty about my purchase of an extra stock wheelset then

i reached the end of the travel on my gsxr front end a few times in the oem setup but never hit the fender or did i ?
and james i want another test ride with your bike :D
looks pretty cool
and another proof that yellow makes you faster, which brings me to the point why am i still so slow ? :(

if your forks are stock they will not travel as far my will.in which case you may not hit fender.
