Wow, what a difference between this intelligently reported piece, and that idiotic crap from KCOP 13 here in L.A that you posted separately.
Thank god there are still some tv journalists that value substance over sensationalism and actually report on a story, giving factual information and a broad range of perspectives.
Too bad this reporter's integrity insures that he'll never get a job in L.A.

I think the reporter did make an attempt to balance his report, however, I'm afraid that comments like "the vast majority of riders are law-abiding and courteous" will not sink in with the viewing public. They will naturally be attracted to the negative aspects, and unfortunately, that will be the impression that stays with them...
Thanks for the link Paul!

I know it's hard to tell from the video, but what was causing some of those low-sides? It didn't look like excessive speed.
one of them looks like breaking hard on the fronts during lean causing the front to wash out?

Those low-sides are caused by being hard on the brakes and turning. I have been reading Twist of the Wrist 2 by Keith Code. If you guys don't have this book yet, go get get it. It teaches everything from throttle control to suspension and he explains why certain crashes happen and how to prevent them.

News coverage in LA is so retarded. Their only goal is to work people up. That's why they have "Storm Watch" because they want to scare people into watching what they have on their broadcast even though it's really only drizzling outside. I think that when you watch the local news, you actually get dumber as a result.
