I've been wondering where you can save some weight on our beloved SV's. I don't plan on going crazy with my bike as far a diet goes, but i'd like to do some simple things. For instance, where can i get a lightweight subframe and fairing stay for a first gen? And how much do those usually cost? What else can i do that won't break the bank?

A great way to save weight is to go jogging and not eat so much. ;)
I have a sharkskinz fairing bracket for $50. GPtech, Vortex, Graves, BRG...etc also has them.
Zoran might have some of these subframes in stock. :D

I've been wondering what your bike had underneath all that TWF replica bodywork. Interesting. Well when i get some more cash flow coming in (damn hospital bills always get ya when you least expect it), i'll look into it further. I think the first thing on my list as far as the diet goes is the subframe.
Ohhhhh Zoran!!! :D
Order today and you get the limited edition t-shirt! lol

Yeah, I weighed just under 180 when I got my SV and now I weigh over 240, how come it doesn't accelrate as fast?
here is another pic of that subframe.
this is first version that will actualy go on street bike(street figter).it is longer to mount all street crap on it.

It's a state of the art transponder mount (old camera bag that I don't use anymore) to improve aerodynamics on the tail. :)
I would mount that in nose of bike, just in case gigy tries to sneak on you.
Got that covered too. I'll just press the button, wait for the lag until this kicks in.
