Koontz came out with Odd Thomas a couple of years ago.... I still highly recommend it (hence this post).

Roughly, it's about a 20 yr old living in the cali desert that can see dead people... solves crimes..etc. until one day something very deadly appears on the horizon...

Good enough to make you verbally gasp outloud in dispair as some major charactors bite the dust.

This book turned out to be so popular among those who read it, he recently came out with a sequel, Forever Odd... simply because the fans voices asked for it...alot of them :)

While im still reading this one.. he remained true to Odd's Charactor, verbage and the good feel of the entirerty of the original. Well worth a read, both of them.

well i guess now I can think of reading something new, instead of rereading Eragon again....

Instead of reading Eragon you could go watch Star Wars... same plot.

Ive read both of these books as well (along every other Koontz book there is). They are both good. There was some nice tension to the second one, and the Elvis haunting is funny. I personally dont like how his more recent books seem to end with strong religious undertones, but thats me :)

Watchers, Whispers, Door to December, and The Bad Place are still my favorites tho :D
