So, yesterday I left my grip warmers on when I arrived at work, and by time I was leaving, the battery was dead. I didn't have the right size allen key to get to the battery, so today I brought one in and tried to jump the bike. No juice. Bump start...no cigar... This is the 3rd time I killed the battery so I am pretty sure it's for good this time.

At least I have the Camino now to bring my bike back home (and I'm going to take time off tomorrow morning to get it insured and registered so I can get it to work, yay!)...'nough side story

If I buy a new battery, does it need to be charged before the first use? Just want to know if I need to plan on buying a battery tender, too... :(

New batteries require an initial charge. The shop where you buy the battery should do it for you.

You think I could save my battery by sticking it on a battery tender?

Are battery tenders motorcycle specific? About how much do they cost?

take your battery to autozone, they should tell you if its toats or not, when you jumped it you didnt have the car running right

Thanks for the autozone tip.

I had the car not running, but after several tries, I was said, "What the hell..." I only had contact for less than 5 seconds with the batteries when the car was running though.
