Are the full cuff gloves too much for casual commute riding?
Can you ride trackdays with the shortcuff?
Is the full cuff really worth it? or is the short cuff fine?

I have the full gauntlet, and can't understand why i'd need the wrict length. These things are comfy.. and evil looking all the time. People are dumb enough to be intimidated by them!!

Wrist protection, good sir, is something you really want. That little ball of bone just above your wrist is fairly prone to slapping against the pavment, and is easy to break. and long to heal. and a -real- PITA if it ends up being your throttle wrist. The full glove is worth evey pennymore, good sir.
More over, the guantlets are warmer for winter riding :D I've been wearing the guantlets for years now... they're warm in the summer, but not unbearable by any stretch.
Hope that helps any
How are the full gauntlets as far as sleeve-to-glove interference? I wasn't sure that my jacket would go over the top of those huge titanium wrist guards, that's why I got the shorties...

You wear gloves over your jacket cuff....
You should only wear them under when it's raining ;)
My Joe Rocket gaunlets have addition armor along the sides giving you protection you wouldn't have otherwise.... Also, they help to keep the weather out of your jacket and such.

You wear the gauntlet on the outside of the jacket. And it's adjustable, so it'll fit over damn near anything. SOMEHOW... though I've never seen any vents in my Ti-Max gloves, they stay comfy in the summer.

Those are garish for my tastes, but +1 for gauntlets in general.

I have the short version but never wear them anymore after getting my Joe Rocket GPX 2.0 gloves (which are gauntlet style). I like the wrist protection. The TiMax glove fingers are kinda fat because of the titanium plates woven into them and do not offer much feel.

Gauntlets = Yes. Shortcuff = No.
Those hideous gloves pictured above = No.
