That is awesome.

I knew nothing about supermoto before I started riding and the more I watch it the more intrigued I become.

I dont watch a lot of supermoto, but isn't knee draggin hard on a supermoto??? Looks fucking squirely as shit...damn you Hayden :)

I've done it pretty easily. You do lean the bike over pretty far to get your knee on the ground because there is so much ground clearance, but due to the tremendous amount of grip the tires supply to those light bikes, they can be leaned over a lot further than I ever did.

Thanks for the link Kurt. Knee dragging and Camel leather #3 on motard is just kind of weird... :D

You've got to watch Jeff Ward and Dough Henry ride supermoto.

They started riding at 7, 5, 4 and 3.

XR50s and PW50s to start.

4 kids riding, you are my hero!

... have been thinking about a PW50. My boy is a few months over 3, wants to ride, and I've been slowly introducing him to wearing riding gear. Any recommendation on youth gear? Took him to Chaparral to try out stuff but was hard for me to get feedback from him on what fitted well. Also took him to another shop a few months later only to find out he had out grew some gear already.

Did your youngest pick up riding pretty quickly at 3? I am not trying to make a racer out of my boy, just want to play together. Any tip on how to get him started (drills, safty, do's and don'ts... etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Well IMO the best starter bike for a 3-4 yr old is a PW50. Full automatic, bulletproof, huge following, 20+ years of tips and tricks out there. That's what my two youngest learned on.

Just have him wear the MX gear: helmet, goggles, jersey, trousers, gloves and boots. As he gets a little more crazy: knee and elbow pads and a neck roll. The latter are good to wear all the time but are sometimes bulky and discouraging to a youngster.

At 3 they can master riding but they lack situational awareness. Best to keep them going one direction on a mini track. We always avoided the open riding areas: desert, local ride spot, etc...... To many crazies and parents letting their kids ride wild.

Not trying to sell you a bike, but my 5 yr old is just outgrowing his PW50 and we are looking to get rid of it and get him on a CRF50. It's got alot of the intelligent PW mods and runs like a champ. PM me for more info.
