Well, I finally did it. After riding for more than 2 years, I finally rode all of Mulholland in one day. Started at the PCH and ended at Ventura/Cahuenga in Hollywood. Always wanted to do that! Was very cool to get over the whole thing all at once. I went down Ventura when I got to the dirt-section of Mulholland.
I also took a little trek down Yorba Linda.
What an amazing road that is. If you are in the mood to ride 20MPH and take in some amazing scenery on a completely deserted road, it's a fantastic choice. The road conditions are very poor. As a result, it's not a road you will be blazing through the twisties upon. There is a swath of gravel up the centerline over almost the entire road and the asphalt is rough and cracked and bumpy. But, as I said, if you are in the mood for a leisurely cruise through beautiful scenery with zero traffic, that is the road for you.
Forgot to take my camera. Which annoyed me because I had intended before I left to bring it along. Ah, well. But, hey, at least I did all of Mulholland and found a great "isn't this beautiful? let's-make-out road" for cute female passengers...
