WOOHOO! What a great weekend!

I was greeted with some really nice weather on Friday and it was pretty good practice as well. As most of you already know, I'm trying to get my slow ass up to speed so I'm working hard to make improvements in order to get going!

Friday's practice was great except I couldn't get my lap timer to work no matter what I did. I felt good about my lap times, but usually when I feel great about my riding, I'm at my slowest. Sunday will tell...

Couldn't practice Saturday, since I was working at Horse Thief Mile teaching a StreetMasters workshop. More about them can be found at http://www.streetmasters.info

Sunday's weather was still pleasant but a little windy. Practice times were OK but not scorching! and pretty much uneventful for me. My first race was LW Twins. I was gridded 15th and while I thought it was a good start, everybody seemed to be ahead of me by T1. Finally settled in and put my head down and spent the whole race chasing Shandra. Once again, I worked very hard to maintain my last place position but my lap times just plummeted (okay, a few seconds faster than April). I finished 16th, had a great race and I enjoyed dicing with Shandra.:D

Race two was the BOTT MW. I was gridded 17th and as I looked around I thought, "What the hell am I doing in this class?". There's nothing but Ducati's here. I got an OK start and once again worked hard to stay in the back of the pack. I ran alone most of the time and my lap times reflect same. A string of mid 40's just doesn't work in this class. Still, it was racing. I finished 12th.

Race 3 was 550 SB and I was gridded way back in 44th (Second Wave). I ended dicing with Amy and Shandra and had a great race. My best lap of the day was in the final lap of this race where I got a 1:40.8 WOW! I finished 16th here as well. Had a good raceday and got a little faster. But, everyone else is getting faster as well so I'm still running last places and getting lapped. I think the milder winds helped since April was just so windy.

I had a great day, got a little faster into the low 40's. It was great!:D

Glad you're still improving. I think I'm the only person who didn't set a personal best on Sunday, though my times in the morning race were faster than they had been all year.

Sounds like you had fun Charlie:cool:

I saw you and Shandra swap positions a couple times in T1, looked like a blast for you both!:D
And congrats on the improvements.;)

What was that saying? The faster I go, the farther behind I get? Anyway, thanks Codz, I had a blast!

I was moreluckier getting through T1 in BOTT MW than Charlie, then he haunted me like a shadow the entire race. That was a really cool race, but 11th and 12th place:mad:

I also had the best weekend I can recall, and it was great starting off side by side with you C.:D
