Well, this is my first race report, and I have to say I really miss my SV, but I had a great time on my friends GSXR 750.

Friday practice was awkward, The reference points I use on the SV didn't work very well on the bigger bike, and I felt like it did not want to turn very well. I talked with Danny at Dunlop and we made a geometry change late in the day that had to wait till Saturday morning.

Saturday was night and day to Friday, and my 3rd lap was a 1:29.982, enough to get my pro licence, but in heavyweight practice, the fast litre bikes pass on the straights and slow way down in the corners (compared to us on SV's). The next session I ran 29's for 4 laps, and put in a 29 flat thanks to the great advice from Dustin about how to put a lap together so Larry gave me my pro card:cool:

I went out in pro practice and all I can say is Holy Shit!! those guys are fast!!

Sunday morning I raced 750 superbike and got into turn 1 in 6th place, and I was feeling pretty good in the 28's, made a pass for 5th in 2 and then ran off going into turn 3. This had happened to me before chasing Martinez and I got in the crash truck and only got 1 point so this time I got back on the track and finished the race, and I was proud of myself that I ran my best time after going off, with dirt on my tires. I came in 12th, but it was good to make a little mistake and recover instead of giving up.

750 Mod Prod was race 3, and I was exhausted after superbike, but I was able to pass Dustin going into turn 1 ( he smoked me going into 2 and I never saw him again) I followed Rocky Caceras most of the race in the 29's, passed him in turn 8 on the last lap with a 28.3 and took 5th place:D

All in all a great weekend, but I will be back on the SV in June, and maybe ride some races on both bikes.

Congrats on breaking the 1:30 barrier, getting your PRO License, and not crashing. What a bitchin' weekend for you.

An 01 750 was my first racebike. I still can't ride the bike well as it amplifies my deficiencies, but the power oh, oh, oh. (where's the Tim Allen clip?)

What geometry adjustments did you make on the Gixxer and what year is it? Do you perhaps have a shock eye to eye measurement or a spacer thickness you could tell me?

The front runners on SVs will have their work cut out for them next month, you sound unstoppable.:squid: Congrats!

Beyond the first 3 or 4 guys to take turn one at the start in the 750 classes, you were the only one with any corner speed.

It'll be nice having you back in the SV classes next month, as long as you finish behind me. :)
