Opening the digital speedometer ?

Hi,

I need to replace my speedometer and I bought a used one on ebay. Unfortunately the exterior appearance of the one I bought is much worse than my previous one. I was wondering if it's possible to open the casing and switch the internals of the two speedometers without breaking some kind of water sealant ?

You shouldn't have any problems. What Ebay auction number did you win. Me and you may have been fighting for it.

That's np. It all comes apart - pretty sure it only uses a rubber lining.
