Alex - You going to clean the cobwebs off the SV and ride Sunday?
Got my SV back together. Kurt and I installed a rear shock off Burst's 636. With the clip-ons I bought from Guzzi, the Micron full exhaust from Zoran, and the rear shock, the old SV runs and handles pretty good. Plan to park the ZX9 and ride the SV Sunday. Hope you can make it.

Patrick can be a chatterbox once you get him going.:lalala:
I always thought they could be too much of a distraction while you are riding. The way I ride, I don't need any additional distractions!

You are one funny old fart Dave!!! As far as the chatterbox goes, my opinion is to save your money for something else. The problem I had with mine is that it would interfere with me trying to look completely through a turn. So I got rid of it and bought some tires :D

Whats the route like? How long do you think it will take?
dapittbull69
Sat 6/10/06, 9:52AM
from start to return it is about 64 miles...and how long it takes to do it depends on our pace! the road is alot of long sweepers, and quite fast!

How was the ride Boyz?
My poor bike was filled with dust and multiple spider webs but got her cleaned-up.
I went out at 5:30 for round-tripper to Campo via the 94. It was really nice. Only a few bikes out though. I enjoyed thinking about my perfect day and how I want to make out with Aaron Yates. I got the scenerio planned out, which by the way ends with my just telling him to take it as a compliment and 'til next year..

It was a really good run. First time for me on a canyon run, and you guys gave me some great pointers since I'm a newbie... so thanks a lot.

Thanks Patrick for taking us on the ride.
I never felt uncomfortable even though I was one of the slower riders. You guys were totally cool about it and even urged me to ride at my own pace.
Thanks again... awesome experience for my first ride...

That was a great ride. It's been too long since I've been in the canyons. I felt like such a noob:o
Patrick, you are a lot faster now on that piece of junk 636:P
Dave was wearing one of Zoran's inspirational t-shirts and it seemed to work too! I needs me one of those :D
Glad we found our "misplaced" rider. I can't figure out how he lost us.

the 636 is just an awesome piece of machinery...i love that bike! it had everything i want in a bike...handling, great ergonomics, light weight, and sexy as hell! and the misplaced rider, "eric", forgot to strap his helmet up when we left the gas station and instead of honking at us he just pulled over to strap up real quick thinking he would catch us.
i forgot about dave's shirt. that shit was pretty funny...and yes he is still fast for being such an old man!
alex, you got way more comfortable it seems as the day progressed, but i still honestly think that your piece of shit aprillia was slowing you down :D
newtybar, you rode just fine and made it home safe. so all in all it was an awesome day of riding and i hope to do it again soon!

Patrick - No matter how old you are you still have that "need for speed!"
Next time I"ll ride the ZX9 so I can keep up with you on the straight sections of the road.:D
