So is it autonomous or does it require a driver? I know that they didn't win the DARPA challenge, but it still looks really fun!

This one requires a driver, the video was made for PR to raise $$$ to compete in the DARPA challenge. They didn't even enter it in '05, must not have met their fundraising goals. I was actually thinking that the machine might have been to agressive for the DARPA rules, that thing would be dangerous if it went haywire. The winner was built on a stock VW, showing you don't need such an extreme engine/chassis.

The Rip-Saw looks like a hoot, though. Why let a computer have all that fun?
