Anyone have an easy-up they could let me borrow for the weekend? I kind of don't want to die from heat stroke at the track... and I haven't had the cash to buy my own. I would really appreciate it.

Harbor freight has some 5.5' x 7.5' silver tarps for $2.49. I bet with some twine and some pipe or 2x4's you could rig up a ghetto lean-to... or just borrow someone's easy up.

The only problem with borrowing an ez-up, is that if you're there on a windy day and the damng thing bends....you're in the hole for buying whoever you borrowed it from another one anyways.
When I was at LVMS on memorial day weekend..there were ez-up carcasses all over the place from the previous day. There were those that outright blew away from not being secured properly and those that were secured properly...but bent from the full force of the wind while maintaining their posts.

Well memorial was freakishly windy, at least saturday that weekend was. The trick is to bring bungee cords and some coolers packed to tie down too.

ya..unfortunately..there were people that did that...so while they didn't blow away, they bent anyways from wanting to take off..but due to being tied down, weren't able to..
damned if you do....damned if you don't....it's what keeps those bastards employed.....aww...you're easy up bent? Guess you'll just have to buy another one....

The better quality heavier duty ez-ups always hold up fine, but the cheap lite ones usually end up destroyed after a weekend at willow. So spend the money once and the Ez- Up will be fine, or borrow one from someone thats not a cheap bastard and bought a good one.....thats what I do.
A real EZ-UP won't bend.... it is the "Quickshade" brand that falls apart. We had two of them get destroyed at Willow this month.

+1 on that. I had a Quickshade brand canopy that didn't last me a year. My EZ-UP canopy withstood wind at LV Classic course that destroyed the two Quckshade's pitted next to us.
You really have to secure these things well when it's real windy. We had to take mine down last race day not because we thought it was going to get bent, but because the buckets full of water weren't enough to anchor it. I'm going back to using my truck as one of the side's anchors.

yea knightshade knows that i was one of the people that had their canopy bars bend. shit it almost took out my gf with two 25 lb weights holding it down. well i bought another canopy, one of those ez-ups that are originally 130 from big 5 for $75. maybe this one will hold up? oh and plus this time im going with people and they rented a garage so i might have an extra ez-up or room to spare if your going to BW.

These are strong as hell but you need a mounting point either a truck or trailer.

You get what you pay for....One day in the wind 20+mph winds will destroy those things...The frames are not as strong as EZ Up.
I tried last month at WSMC with two...bent both frames, then I gave in and brought out the big boy on top of the trailer

Pepboys has them too, sports authority( Sportmart) ...the cheap ones will do as well as the high end ones...you just have to keep the slides clean...wind will destroy any of these so makes sure you keep an eye on it...they make great kites....I spend so much time in the desert and no ez up type shlelter is wind proof...they all bend or fly...funnything is my cheap ez up has held up for two years of desert usuage...my expensive one lasted two months...just what ever you get ...keep it clean and learn how to put it up and take it down... the right way....;)
