I might be able to make it to this I'll definetly know by next week, and if I go I'll be in the back of the pack I'm still a newb to the canyons.

There'll be at least a couple of us with Crest experience and one will sweep. So don't worry about your pace. Just don't ride beyond your skills and you'll be fine.

Sounds good to me I've been to the Rock Store twice and rode to Big Bear once, but never did ACH on a bike, been driving all the way through Palmdale in a Vehicle many times, but not on a bike so, I'll be going as comfortable as I can.

Maybe...
I couldn't wake up for the 8:15 Malibu ride, so am probably doubtful for a 8:00 meet.
I'm also on call this weekend - need to be in cell range. But a shortish ride does sound good...
Will you be breakfasting at Newcomb's? Or is this a "no food" ride?
WTF is the "old range"? Towards Palmdale or Sunland?

The old range is towards Palmdale. You turn right at the bottom of Upper Big T. and it is about 8 miles or so from there.
You are on the maybe list. :)

Yep. I'd like to do the SV trackday @ Buttonwillow too but they are so close together I don't know if that'd be possible.

Next year I'm seriously thinking about the Toyota FJ and towing package. That way I can hire a trailer for trackdays. :D
It's a cool little truck. I'm not sure of the towing capacity but it'll tow a trailer and bikes I'm sure no problem.

Thanks to Malkey and Steve for a well organized ride.
Kudos to Steve for looking out for the riders when that truck was tailgating us.
The road was fun and I actually got to ride at the tail end of the fast group for a few miliseconds before they disappeared down the road
Good to meet some new people and see some previous riders.
Let's do this again. :groove:

Thanks to Malkey for organizing the ride. I had a great time and learned more than I could have imagined, especially since Steve is right, I pushed my limits a little too much here and there.
Speaking of Steve, I have to extend my deepest gratitude for sticking with me all the way. I really appreciate your help and advice and I hope next time you don't have to stay behind with me the whole time, hehe.
Lastly, it was great to meet everyong and I'm looking forward to our next ride. Thanks again!

yo malkey and steve, that ride was well organized, nice work!
too bad it was so Fing hot!!!!
good riding with you guys again.
I should've headed straight home instead of exploring downtown LA, i was pretty wasted by the time i got back.
yo Ed, hope you put thread lock on those bolts, mang!
and whoever the dude was on the yellow bike wearing the black icon jacket...you ride really smooth. i don't think i saw you correct your steering even one time once you commited to your line.

I believe that would be me you are talking about with the Yellow SV with Black Icon Jacket.... I had seen you were behind me when we were riding to Newcombs and wasn't sure if I was going to slow for you. I appreciate the good criticism (sp?) I'm still a little iffy on taking those curves so wasn't sure if I was going to slow or not That was the first time I rode ACH and believe the 3rd time riding any canyons so I do plan on riding again hopefully next Saturday the 29th so if anyone else wants to ride hit me up...

LOL....I don't do diet soda...for anyone....ever. I can drink diet soda, but what's the point of paying for a drink I hate? It's not hard to fix either.
If I order a cheeseburger and the guy brings me a bowl of chili or a plate of chicken, I'd eat it. Diet drinks? No way. I've driven back to fast-food restaurants after I was mistakenly given a 32oz. cup of diet soda....heh.
