94E to Old HWY 80?

I saw a cool write-up over on Pashnit for a ride down the 94 from SD all the way out to Old HWY 80 past Boulevard and Jacumba...

Had a few questions for anyone that's ridden this road before:

1. The riders in the write-up were all of V-Stroms - is this entire way paved, or are there areas of dirt road along this route?

2. Where are the good places to eat/fuel up along this route?

3. What have the general conditions of this road been lately?

Ice: This is John, we had pie together in Santa Isabel a few weeks back. Then we showed you Mesa Grande.
The road is very good condition all the way out. There are several places to eat/drink/ fuel on the way. Take a good map, i.e. AAA "San Diego County" is excellent.
