i saw this movie christmas eve (i think...that week was a blur)...i LOVED IT! i love historical films and books...stuff about the ancients (like the pharaohs or the romans and stuff). i have always been somewhat interested in the mayan culture, but honestly i hadn't really known a lot about it...i seriously hope this film brings on a windfall of mayan historical documentaries and such on discovery because they were SO interesting (and freakin scary too!)

anyway, if you can, see this in the theater...i would imagine seeing it on DVD wouldn't be nearly as visually impressive

Mel Gibson...LOL..I won't see that nutter's movies...not on purpose anyway. I still haven't see 'The Passion...'.
