Note: Added not to the process...there is a step where they say to drill the slide..That drill bit is very hard to find...do not use a drill bit thatis larger. It will throw off the mixture. You can actually not drill it and it will work really good. - racinteach




Some other notes and part numbers provided by SVSmiles:

I recommend switching out the Carbs Float Bowl’s Phillips head screws with Hex Heads to ease future carb tweaks and cleanings. First time opening them might require an Impact driver.

Float Bowl Replacement Screws:
Stainless Steal, Coarse class 8.8
M5 x 12mm x 0.8 (Thread Pitch)
x6 (3 per carb)

IF you decide to switch out the OEM 15 Pilot Jets get:

Mikuni 17.5: Part #KVM28/486-175
x2 (1 per carb)

Main Jets:

Be sure the sale person sells you Mains that are ROUND (NOT HEX) shaped jets, which Mikuni also makes...

Mikuni 145.0: Part #KN102221-145
x2 (1 per carb)

Note: The Mains are a SMALL-ROUND jet. LARGE-ROUND jets (different part#) have been noted to also work, but fwiw, OEM Mains are 137.5 of the small-round type.

Shims: Come in a bag full of various sizes @ Radio Shack: Part #64-3022A
x2 (1 shim per carb needle)

Enough washers/shims in the bag for a carb tweak'n party... ;)

Notes: The jetting parts noted here were used on a G1-SVS with a slightly modified OEM >exhaust (http://www.socalsvriders.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=192509#post192509)< and K&N air filter. IF your exhaust, air filter, general ride elevation and ambient temps ranges are different you may need to use different size Mains, etc... A side from doing test rides post tweak changes you might want to have it Dyno checked to confirm your tweaks are all dialed in correct for your configuration and ride area.
