View Full Version : Well, it finally happened.....

Well I'm glad it happened with no injury to myself, but alas my bike didn't walk away unscathed.
I was leaving my parent's house backing out of their driveway. As I was doing so, I hit some uneven ground where my left foot (expected to bear most of the weight) lost contact to ground and BOOM!
The scratches on the fairing weren't too bad, from what I can tell it just hit the primer, so I have some white scratches on the side. Scratched up my left mirror, broke the left turn signal, and broke the end off my clutch lever. Luckily my pride is somewhat in tact still because no one was anywhere to be found. Although, I had to summon a lot out of me to pick up the bike. Didn't want to ask my dad because my parents hate the thing and they have no idea what happened.
So......I guess this is the best time as any to replace my levers and turn signals with something cooler than stock. I am an impulse shopper and I NEED instant gratification. :D
Where can I pick up new levers (can I install them myself?) and new turn signals?? I want something cooler looking than the stocks if possible under my instant gratification clause.

pazzo levers are sweet but if you're prone to tipping over will prove to be quite costly

Nope, funny too, when I met up with Ronnie and Malkey before the M ride. Malkey mentioned that I needed to get some hehe

Yes replacing the lever is very easy.. 1 bolt... you will most likely have to splice some wires if you are going to get some aftermarket parts... still easy to do though..

Then, put frame sliders on it. Get some levers that are shorter than the handle bar so if you drop it again, you don't break the lever. You'll just scrape up the bar end. Surprised you did not break the shifter. Do you have fixed pegs on it?

Stock pegs. They looked fine to me.

PAZZO LEVERS!
I wouldn't go with aftermarket front turn signals since they are not that bright and hardly visble. I like to be seen so I would prefer stock or a GSXR turn signals.
Like you, I wanted some cool looking ones so I changed them anyway :D but I put some LED's in the front parking lights and made them turnsignals.... so a total of 2 flashing lights per side (front) highly visable. :) COOL+SAFE, problem solved.
SO DOES THAT MEAN YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BIKENIGHT?
Here are some pictures:

I did not ask for looks. I asked because you dropped it on it's side and you did not break the shifter, you lucky bastard! I put fixed pegs on mine just for that reason!

www.Motomummy.com has the Pazzo levers for a good price. Type in "Pazzo" for the coupon code and I think they are $145.00 or so. Easy install as well. Lights are easy enough, just need to buy the converter plug so you don't have to do any splicing of wires, just plug and go. http://www.motomummy.com/pazzo.html

Fixed pegs equals bruised shins when backing up, ouch. Let me see a shot of your nakid shins April.:p

Hmmm, those sound cool. I'm gonna checkout Flander's today if I can finish up some work first.
I will still possibly go tonight, although it was showering not too long ago. Hopefully it subsides.

You can make faux carbon by wrapping it with rubber drawer liner and shooting it with black spray paint.
