Once again, I'm looking for some motorcycles for a commercial that shoots in the next 2 weeks.

Specifically, a Yellow Honda sportbike - VFR, CBR, VTR Superhawk, etc....it MUST be a Honda, since the commercial producers are affiliated with Honda Corp. From the F2 and F3 styles to the current CBR...

Also looking for a Black Honda VTX cruiser....late model...

If you've got one, email me pics and your contact info ASAP - Zack@PictureVehicles.com

The job will pay a few hundred bucks just to put your bike on camera - NO RIDING of the motorcycle for this shoot. If you've got the bike, i'll give you the details!

You want this posted on the VFR board? There's several yellow VFRs in SoCal I know there. They will all be 5th gen VFRs (the previous body style) since I think that's one of the few models that came in yellow.

I guess my yellow 98 900rr would quailfy so whats the details?

I can't release details publicly. Basically, it's a commercial shoot that just requires the bike to be sitting on camera - no riding. Honda is involved, so they'd prefer to have Honda vehicles on camera. But it is NOT a Honda commercial.

I sent pics of your 900RR, as well as a bunch of VFR's - we'll see what the director likes.

Thanks for all the responses...

Now if I could only find a Black Honda Cruiser, like the VTX!

I have a 2003 BLACK Honda VTX 1800C. Some "custom" pieces - seats, bags, windshield, chrome, etc. If you are interested let me know.

Probably not for this shoot, but I add each vehicle to our database for future on-camera work anyway...he might as well send it on over!

If you are really interested in finding a a great VTX to shoot, post something here:

Let me warn you, they are a tough crowd. If you are serious, they would be very happy to supply whatever you want. If, however, you are just fishing, they will be most unhappy - not pleasant.

Joe T.

Well, the script calls for a modern black Honda cruiser, and the director likes the VTX - it doesn't have to be a perfect motorcycle by any means, just something that looks good on camera.

As for "fishing", this is how it works: A director calls looking for a vehicle, and we start looking. We submit as many pictures as possible, and the director picks what he likes. We negotiate a price/condition with the owner and the production company. Obviously, not everyone that submits their photo/vehicle gets picked for the commercial.

In the past few months, several members of SCSVR have submitted their vehicles for commercial work, and a few of them have been picked. So, considering it's a no-cost, no obligation service, it's not a bad deal for anyone to submit photos of ANY and EVERY vehicle they want to have considered for TV/Film work

That said, I'd hate to make any of these VTX owners "most unhappy". I think I'll refrain from posting there. But thanks for the heads up!

How badass can a group of friggin' Shadow riders be?

Update: Having been contacted by these Shadow riders, I would like to say they are, indeed, real men, and I will be moving to the south of France ASAP ...

Shizznid,

I would not hesitate to post there - just explain what is going on.

One of the board regulars did a VTX calendar for 2005 that was very good - for a non-professional effort. It was a means of generating some cash for his niece who was dying of cancer. I still have two of them.

Anyway, there are some outstanding "amateur" VTX's out there and the owners monitor that board. There are also a couple of local companies, such as Viking Motorcycles, which have some truly awesome custom VTX's.

Don't be bashful, tell the the complete story, and I think you will be very satisfied with the response. Just take the time to explain the complete situation - as you did above.

Regards,
Joe T.

Friend of mine has a yellow CBR600F4i, an '06 I think.
I'll take a picture tomorrow and ask if he's interested.

When and where will you need it?

Shizznid,

I will be visiting a friend this evening who has a BLACK VTX 1800N. His is quite unique. It has the Corbin Beetle Bags and a lot of custom touches. I will get him to e-mail me some photos and I will forward them to you. That way, you will have at least two to choose from - one rather traditional (mine) and one a little more retro yet modern - if that makes sense.

Regards,
Joe T.
