View Full Version : What could get your bike impounded?
i was riding at palos verdes drive east today near the switchbacks when i passed a tow truck with an r1 on the truck bed...turned around and asked the driver what is going on and he said "speeding" and he pointed at the sheriff cruiser with a guy in the back...i said "oh" and left
now that i think about it, it seems unusual to have the bike impounded for speeding...the road is 35 mph limit...i thought one only get ticketed, get lectured, and sent on his merry way

My guess, charged with reckless driving: vehicle impound + jail time.

no license and/ or permit. since person is not legal to ride it, they have to bring it to the impound and have someone that is legal to take it out.

Also VIN on engine not matching VIN on frame - not on record with DMV.
Has happened to folks getting replacement frame or engine on Ebay and not updating their DMV records.

And what about that new law now where they take away your vehicle for racing? Bye Bye pretty motorcycle...
Most likely he was either going above 100 or he was stunting. Two of the most common.
you'd have to be retarded to stunt on that road, i am gonna do that ride tomorrow afternoon
