View Full Version : Removing logos from leather

I just bought a pair of Alpinestars track pants and they have the logo on each kneeslider and stitched on to each leg right above the sliders. I also have an A* jacket and pair of boots, all of which are black with white logos. I look like a freakin walking billboard for Alpinestars. Have any of you cut the stitching that holds a logo or patch (to remove it) onto leather? I wanted to know if the thread holes would be noticeable. I've cut stitching to remove a logo from cloth and it looked like it wasn't even there, just wanted to know if the same holds true with leather.
When within a couple feet you'll see the stitching holes. And if you don't know they are there you'll probably miss them. They will get all rashed and torn up eventually (well, mine seem to do...), so who cares about some pin holes?!

+1 heheh...
but to answer ur question...u'll notice them. The a* logo on my left arm is partially rashed off. The holes aren't pretty. U should juss keep the logos on...
besides...a* stuff is good, quality gear. Wear them proud!

A lot of those logos are also retro-reflective... on my A* jacket, they are the ONLY thing reflective on it
