He's totally fine save a scratch on his arm. He was wearing full gear (except for full gauntlets), so now he's basically feeling sore.

Last night, he was traveling south on the 405 headed for home. He was following a car in front of him (probably too closely) when the car hit its brakes hard. My buddy who is even more of a rook than me hit his brakes hard as well. I'm guessing he hit them too hard. Coupled with that, his tires were due for replacement (he told me they looked to be warn past the wear indicators).

The wheels locked and he hit the pavement at around 50 mph. He slid for a bit and then tried to get up too early, which launched him. Finally he came to a stop and another rider stopped to help him out.

He's decided to quit. He has a damaged F4i and a pair of astar s-mx boots (size 40 euro) he's putting up for sale soon. From what he's told me (I haven't seen the bike), the fairing took the brunt of the slide. The boots got scuffed.

I told him I'd spread the word about these items, but he hasn't offered any prices and I'm guessing he doesn't know how much he should expect to get.

Hope your buddy is feeling okay.

If you are posting a For Sale thread, then you should post this in the for sale section.

I shall do so when I get more info. A "for sale" thread with no pics, no price, and very little additional info wouldn't be useful for much, I'm guessing. For now, it's just a general info for everbbody.

Sorry to hear your buddy went down, but glad his luck was excellent and he was wearing his gear.

Don't count your buddy out yet, just missing in action for awhile, he's just passed his first real motorcycle test.

Give him our good cheer and get well soon.

Hey everybody. Here's pics of my buddy's bike. How much you think he could get for it as is?
