I live near Mission Beach and am new to the area. I'm looking for some fun roads to ride on during the daytime or weekends. Something for a beginner.
Where do you guys reccomend? I don't want anything too far away, but am willing to ride if it's worth it!

How far is far Jesse? Too many cars around Mission Beach. The good rides are all north or south of there and quite a bit east. I agree with Dapittbulls note above.

Thanks for the responses guys. I guess not far meaning, the closest area to ride. Yes, too much traffic here near the beaches, it's not fun.
As far as a group ride, I'm not sure if I am ready for one yet. I've litterally only ridden my bike about 5 times since I picked it up. I'm currently on my permit and have my last MSF course this Friday. I wouldn't wanna hold anyone back, but as I get more experience and comfortable I definately want to ride along with you guys.

I agree Jesse. After you get your license and at least 1,000 miles of riding in you should be ready.
look up this thread, stay away anything marked with a 1 at first, and after some practice join us for some group rides ;)
Ride Outs and Events are a good place to hook up with Neil's awesome rides. SD Area map here (http://www.socalsvriders.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=22084&highlight=map)
