Hey all! Well I don't know if you all have noticed but I'm pretty well know for doing things on a whim. It's hard to predict what I'm going to do from one moment to the next... last night was another of those times.

After I got home from work, I went over to the Mitsubishi dealer and bought myself a 2002 Eclipse GT. My biggest impulse buy ever! The strangest thing is that I never wanted an Eclipse, I'm not a big Mitsubishi fan... hell, I wasn't even really in the market to buy a new car. But sure enough... there was one in the driveway when I woke up this morning! LOL!

Lovin' that New Car Smell! So now you need to go get that Dirty Vegas CD and cruise around with Sandie break-dancing the right seat!

Actually, the sales manager gave me the CD that has all the songs used in their commercials on it! He thought that I had been waiting a long time and was apologizing to me... but in truth I was just bs-ing with the finance guy. He was pretty cool and we spent most of our time talking about something other than cars or money.

And actually, I chose the pearl white( or whatever it's called). I stayed away from the silver because my bike is already silver, silver is the most popular vehicle color right now, and I used to have a silver Crap-alier and I didn't want to have any association between the two vehicles! LOL

Rod, I got the fully loaded GT with the 6cyl and all the bells and whistles and I think it came to around $28K with Tax, title, license, and all the extra coverage they talked me into.

Secondly... you must have had a lemon. I know plenty of people with the Eclipses who've never had any problems. Also, they just changed up a few things on the Eclipse so now all your tranny problems are covered under the warranty.

Eh, I've still got my Explorer until I decide to sell it. And why do I need a truck? My dad's got a great one that I can borrow whenever I want.

I'm young, single, make good money, and don't need an SUV or truck for anything. Hell the only reason I owned an Explorer was because I lived in South Dakota and I actually NEEDED a 4WD to drive in the snow up there. I don't have such a need out here!

I never claimed that my car or bike was the fastest or best thing in the world! Read back through the posts and you'll see that I never claimed to be getting some amazing quarter mile times.
