View Full Version : Possible premature rubber replacement

Found a slight cut ( about an half an inch long and 1 mm deep ) on my rear rubber, on the side. Don't know what caused it. Must have ran over something sharp enough to cut it. I'm keeping an eye on it. If it doesn't get any larger, I think I'm cool. But if it grows, then I will have to buy a new set. I was hoping I can get at least another 1500 miles out of this set.

Hmmm........ we'll see.

Hmmm, yeah, that would make me nervous. No worse feeling than riding on iffy tires! When I first started riding, I used to check over my tires before heading off...lately, I admit I've been getting a bit lazy...not always checking them. I guess I'll start doing that again now...

A few months ago I was backing my bike out of my garage. It was REAL heavy and slow , as if the brakes were compresed. I get off and my rear tire is completely deflated, with an 1 inch long screw all the way in it. Tire only had about 1,500 miles on it to:(
