Clipping from Yahoo! News article: "The body of a young girl was discovered on July 16 in a remote area of southern California and authorities were trying to determine if it belonged to Samantha Runnion, who was kidnapped from the driveway of her home about 75 miles away."

I heard on the radio this morning that some hang gliders spotted this poor girl's body in a field up there.

Well, I guess they confirmed that the body was in fact Samantha Runnion's - the little girl abducted earlier. Raped and murdered. What kind of sick mind could do something like that????

I saw on CNN.com that they said that the sicko who did this is probably a serial rapist and killer who will likely strike again within the next 24 hours.

It just plain sucks that there are such horrible people like that in this world.

That is seriously fucked up. They should change the death penalty, these people should die the same way their victims died. They do not deserve a *peaceful* death. An eye for an eye......

It upsets me ... beyond any words to really properly express ... that I have met people who were convicted of molesting (i use molesting but the guy did far worse, he should be thankful i found out what a worthless piece of shit he is AFTER he'd already be rearrested ... i did make it a point to try and leak information to other inmates about what he was convicted for) small children, going to prison for 10 years, and getting out after 5 and that I have met people who were caught selling pot, who are in prison for 12 years with no option to get out earlier ...

WHERE THE FUCK ARE OUR PRIORITIES!!!!!????????

(eyes fills with tears)

It's so fucking wrong ...

An eye for an eye would be too nice. Eye for an eye applies to other stuff ... but to do something that just goes beyond what is right and reasonable ... they deserve death ... but not before they experience a whole lot of pain ...

I keep waiting for the time when someone is going to be fed up with the bullshit process and just obliterates the person who hurt them or their child ...

What makes me sad, is that person will probably end up in prison for longer than the offender would have.

Saw the site where the body was dump. Drove home from work last night, and saw a bunch of sheriffs yellow taping off the road. It's the road right before the fire stations.

This morning I saw some news crew there.

Hope they catch this guy......... and gut him........soon.

That roads name is Killin Trail. This guy is really sick. I agree an eye for an eye. on a lighter note that road is a pretty good intermediate level ride alot of turns and no cops ever, just stop when the road goes to a single lane. its really harsh after that.

No, they should be given into the hands of the parents.

As a father, I know that the guy would die a s-l-o-w PAINFULL death. In fact I'd only kill 'im if he BEGGED!

Begging wouldn't be enough for me to give them the the benefit of dying...

I agree that the parents, or the person who has been raped (assuming they live) should be given the opportunity to respond to their pain ... I honestly feel that our society deals with these things in a way that promotes victimization and dwelling ... because people do not feel in control after they've been victimized and continue not to feel in control because there is nothing about the justice system that leaves a person feeling like they've really been avenged ...

Some people are happy w/people going into prison ... and in those cases, I say "fine" let them choose ... however, I do not think that inmates should be able to hide why they are in prison. I think each offender should have a code reflecting their crimes ... child molesters and rapists do not do well in prison ... which is why they try to hide it ...

I've been told several times that I'm sick because I so readily admit I would happily cause long term, intense pain to anyone who hurts my child ... more than likely, due to my own past and my inability to take revenge as I feel I deserved to do so, I'd probably end up killing the person ...

This is twisted, sick shit.

I agree, Leigh, our priorities are fucked up. Murder is the worst thing you can do, besides mass murder...so I don't know why we hassle people for ingesting plants. Completely stupid.
