.....these were taken on the hills by the 15 and Lake Street....in Lake Elsinore...

....and if you want to see them........you should hurry.........

...if the temp stays relatively cool............they'll probably stick around for another 2 or 3 weeks.........maybe 4.......

...if the temp gets warmer.............they may not stick around as long.......

....sooooo............hurry the hell up.........

If you ran out of room with 128 MB, you have your resolution set too high. Did you want to make 8.5 x 11 prints of your images?

For the internet all you need is 640 x 480 pixels at 72 dpi. With that, you should have been able to take hundreds of pictures.

Or were you crazed with "Poppy Fumes" and take WAY too many shots?

.....my resolution was set in the middle range somewhere.....

....I think the problem is the format of the file........

....I don't think the pics are saved as jpegs..........therefore it takes up alot of room........

....I need to figure out how to get it to save in jpeg format.....

I don't have an HP camera, so am guessing what it is telling you, but if you are only posting to web, try your lowest settings for awhile.

I'm having trouble seeing how it would let you save in any other format besides .jpg, so try the lowest settings and see what it looks like.

You should get an image on your monitor about 8" x 6". It will look great at that size, but look bad if you blow it up. It should print on an inkjet printer pretty well if reduced to about 5" x 3.5". Anything bigger will look worse.

I think my digital camera has the option to save in TIFF, RAW or something like that... uncompressed image format (8-bit RGB channels each). A jpeg would probably be 1/10th of its size. You sure you want a 12MB+ file in your email, Broughbeater? That's gonna take a while to send, or may even get truncated in the process.

....you may have no problem receiving them with a T1........

....but I'll have a hell of a time sending 128 mb with a 56K modem.....

....I'll check my camera and my files at home...........to see the format it was saved in..............if I can't figure it out....I'll send you a raw file.......each file is close to 2 megs in size.....

....I tend to like my raw files in higher resolution (though not the highest)........so I have the option to print them......and blow them up......and such.......

.....especially the ones that I take with the night vision lenses..........but that's another story....

You may also get the image to work by selecting it...that is, clicking next to it and dragging over it. Might only work if you're using IE, though.

Ctrl-A is "select all". In Internet Explorer, if you select an image it basically puts a checkerboard pattern over it. Both the flower image and the image of the girl are there all of the time. But you can only see the girl when you have that check pattern over the image blocking out every other pixel. Neat trick.

When IE "selects" an image, it applys a dither mask to it to give it the appearance of being blue.

The artist of this picture just alternated pixels, because the green flowers are brightest, thats what your eyes see.

Well I went to see those poppies today. They look great, but its pretty far away from me.

229 miles round trip!

Also did the ortega highway, which is fun but doesnt compare to mulhulland hwy. I guess I'm partial to what I know.

I would have contacted some poeple from the board, but it was a very spontanous trip and my wife came along for her 2nd ever ride.

In closing, our butts sure are sore, but I had a great time.
