Colors

This site is way too white & hasn't enough color. Darken it up a bit and add some color.

Also: the site map (or whatever, it's located at the top of the page on the right) is hard to read. White letters on a grey & white background.

Oh yea! Almost forgot. The Smilies are great, but give us something evil and less girly to choose from in addition to what's there.

Thanks for the suggestions. Just curious, do you see a black background or the stripes background now in the top header? What browser are you using?

What colors would be cooler?

Now the background is black. Good. i'm using Netscape Navigator.

Colors I like are blue, black, red, orange, anything that's saturated, has good contrast, and is opposite the colors surrounding it. eg. blue/red, purple/orange, blue/yellow, black/red, black/white.

Basically, I like bold stuff.

In IE, the site is easier to read.

I see that you killed the stripes in the black top header, but in netscape all the purple table header bars have white stripes in them which kind of eats away the white text. But in IE, the purple bars are solid purple.

Paul, I think it'd be cool if you wanted to experiment with some different color schemes and see how people like them. Our current pallette of purples might not reflect the true and utter coolness of this board and its members. :cool:

In Netscape 6.2 the solid table colors take precedence over background images, so I see solid purple as I do in IE. I made a few changes, so hopefully pages look the same in your Netscape and IE.

I'll try out different colors. I like the black/bright red (or orange) combo.

Maybe a control panel or something can be added in where we could select different color schemes. Each person could personalize the way their page would look. This way everybody would be happy. Just a thought.:angel:

Heh.. you're fast. I just made the additional style after you suggested the option.

So, under "Profile" -> "Edit Options", right before Avatars, choose the style you'd like (there's only Orange right now). I'm color blind, so bear with me.

I kinda like the purple :eek: I'll mess with it some more, and someday replace the Default style set with something we all really like.

Added another theme style "Blue". Hmm, dark colors don't work so well with them icons, transparent background stuff :confused:
