Hey all, on Rick77f's recommendation, I picked up some Honda Brite for my wheels and swingarm, and I have to say, this stuff is *DA BOMB*!!! My bike looks new. He had suggested just spraying it on, and rinsing it off, but with 11.5K miles, many through Norcal rain and other crap, I had to wipe the gunk off after spraying it, but it looks perfect now. I highly recommend picking this stuff up, you *WON'T* be disappointed.

The last three shops I've been in looking for this stuff have not had it....... GODAMMITT!! My bike is SOOOOOOO dirty right now. I have not washed it in like 3,000 miles. I feel like I am neglecting her. :(

I picked it up at Bert's Mega Mall in Azusa... They had plenty... Granted, that's a bit far for you...
Unfortunately I could only buy the "refill" of it, so I had to buy a spray bottle separately to be able to use it...

Simple Green might be an alternative. I've used the "Automotive" cleaner/degreaser and have had good results.
You may still have to scrub heavy build up, like chain lube, but over all its easy to find and may be cheaper. Its been a while since I bought it but just having HONDA on the can and buying it at a bike shop has to add some coin.
I also recomend S100 Wax & Detail, its only sold in Harley dealers but I think its far superior to Hondas spray wax.
Oh and for the rubber and plastic bits: Pig Spit. Also an item you'll have to go to a Harly dealer for.

Hondabrite is the same as S100. The only difference is the label. Depending on the dealer, the prices are really close. If you are going to use simple green buy the industrial stuff. It is available at Smart & Final. I don't use the S100 on any painted surfaces, just a good car wash soap. I figure that if it can eat grease with ease, then eventually it will start to work on our delicate paint.
Just ran over to Fun Bike Center..... They had some(finally)...
I'll give my baby a good once over when I get home and see how this stuff works. For the painted bits I just use a mild mixture of soap and water as well. Works just fine. For really stubborn road grime I use McGuiars paint cleaner/polish. I works great, though you do have to re-apply wax as it removes EVERYTHING from the surface of the paint.

you guys should also try honda's Spray Cleaner & Polish. You just spray it on and wipe it off . it polish's great and you can spray it on everything (plastic, metal, even the exhuast). I can clean and polish the whole bike in about 5 minutes. I've used it for years.

My baby looks almost brand spanking new again!
gmoney, I use that stuff also but it wasn't going to cut it this time. I use that for wipedowns and such when the bike is not that dirty. I had not washed the bike for 3-4000 miles. My Silver wheels looked like the Charcoal Grey wheels some SV's have. It was REALLY BAD........

DANG no time..and previously, my landlord had forbidden me to wash my bike on the premises...now I am searching for a spigot at the new apartment and I gotta buy a hose..got the washing stuff all ready..I'll see if I can find some Honda Brite or whatever heh. Geez Burst I know what you mean...on the weekends I have been driving so much I've barely had time to do anything...
