*** spoilers ***

What the hell happened to Pedrosa?? I mean... it didn't really look like he had even started braking when the bike just... well... just tipped over.

And I didn't realize how fast he was going until I saw the overhead view of the crash... and saw him smack into that wall. I know it happened really fast, but aren't you supposed to avoid riding your wrists while you slide?

Anyways... kind of a bummer... not that I'm a particularly big fan of his or anything. More that it was sad to see such a dominating performance go to waste.

And... as much as I hated seeing Stoner win last year's championship -- last year's races just weren't fair with all the extra power the Duc was putting down -- it seems like Stoner's back on top (or getting close to it) even with the bikes being on more even playing field this season.

Wonder who'll win Laguna this year...

Stoner will win Laguna this year. Maybe Rossi will be close since last year Laguna was a Bridgestone track.

Pedrosa was surprised that he lost the front when he did and went down at about 160mph. He said he just started to touch the brakes and the front slid out. He may miss this weekend's race due to ankle surgery.

So here are a couple of pics from my trip to Sachsenring....

The pro-Rossi crowd cheered when Pedrosa crashed out of the lead....

I'm betting Stoner will be tough to beat at Laguna with Edwards, Rossi, and Hayden battling for the rest of the podium spots. I imagine Pedrosa's injuries will slow him a bit if he races at all...

Pedrosa always has problems in the rain. He's way too light. As soon as I turned on the tube and saw how hard it was pouring down, I knew he was going to have a tough go at it, I just didn't think it was going to go that bad. Monsterdood, nice pics. My wife and I were gonna try and hit up Holland a few weeks back, but the weak dollar and high flight prices kept us out of Euroland for this year. I guess it worked out, since Rossi crashed anyway :)

Pedrosa is out for Laguna. Looks like that crash is really gonna cost him, especially if Rossi gets podium. He's on the front line for a change, so let's see what happens. Can anybody stop Stoner!?! As Malkey would say, "what a tosser!".

this is one of the most exciting races i have ever seen between rossi and stoner...the way rossi was riding he would have won anyway even though stoner dropped his bike in the gravel...i am a rossi fan because he is such a personality

the best thing i took from this race is the picture of rossi changing gears, accelerating and braking at various parts of the track which is superimposed on the screen...guys, i thought i was rossi as i followed the race

anybody else?
