GMR, Tuesday 7/30

Hey all,
Looking for peeps to ride with next Monday->Wednesday. I start work Aug 1, so I want to get as much riding as I can before I have to work every day...

For those of you who are unemployed or work strange hours, let me know. I'll probably end up riding GMR at least two of the days, but I'd like to head up the Crest, since it'll be a weekday, and should be little traffic. Anyone interested?

I'll be heading back from Arizona Sunday night ... so I should be good to go on Monday, a bit later in the day ... and anytime Tuesday ....

I've only been there once ...

I will need to make sure i have gas money ... when I get back from AZ I'll dig thru my change pile and see ... (i'm sort of partial to GMR ebcuase it's not so far away) ...

THe Shell station is right at the bottom of the hill. When you exit at Angeles Crest Highway, turn right(south) and the Shell is right there on the left hand side.

I'd really rather do GMR to be honest.

I haven't been totally energetic lately cuz' of stress, and I think GMR is far more realistic for me to do and actually enjoy ...

Crest has a lot of nice areas (which I've not seen) but all day trips like that require more $ and energy than I think I have ...

So what's the meeting time and place for the rides on Monday (GMR), Tuesday (Crest) and Wednesday (GMR)? Feel free to post it in our events calendar as well.

I keep feeling like I'm missing posts or something ...??

I won't be back til' tomorrow night so looks like I won't join you guys for GMR, and am pretty sure I can't do the crest ... but I will try to see if I can ... it's just I've got a long ride down to the very south of San Diego the next day ... so ...

Monday: I think I'm not going to make a Monday ride, since I'm still in Newport, and will end up going back up there tomorrow late morning/early afternoon. Have some errands to run anyway.

Tuesday for Crest: Meet at that Shell station listed at 10:30. That should be late enough to miss some of the nasty traffic along the way.

Wednesday for GMR: Meet at the gas station (Chevron I believe) across the street from Denny's at 10 AM (on Grand Ave, Baseline Rd in Glendora).

Leigh, I just won $100 playing poker at that new casino in Temecula. If you need gas money, I'll hook you up...

I originally said I'd probably do a few rides, but the crest one day only... So Paul assumed Mon and Wed would be GMR, since Tues was the Crest.

If you guys want, we can do GMR Tuesday, and the Crest Wednesday? Does that work out better for everyone?

Yep, Pechanga... Cool place, although it's so new that it was way too crowded... But they've got an actual, bona-fide poker room, so I was happy ;)

Meet across from the Denny's on Grand Ave off the 210, at what I think is either a Chevron or a 76. Either way, it's right across Base Line Rd from Denny's. Meet at 10 AM?

I will try. I am in AZ still, not sure wht time I can get there ... depends on what time I get back. It's close to 4pm and we aren't leaving yet, and it's like a 6 hour trip.

Is it possible to ride later?

I can't ride Wed, cuz' I gotta work ...

Thanks for the offer for gas money ... :) Thankfully bikes don't cost too much to feed.

If you can make it by 10 tomorrow, do so. If not, call me at 949-395-2413. Depending on what time you make it, Paul and I can either eat something at Denny's, or make a trip up & down GMR and meet you (gotta scope it out for dirt/rocks, right ;) ).
And if you were driving Gregg's truck, I probably wouldn't be offering to fill the tank... :D

I am here, I will be setting an alarm.

I gotta make some calls in the morning ... so hopefully I'll be able to get there on time. If I end up being late, just go without me ... I will find you guys up there, I'm sure.

Thanks for the ride, Brad! I had a great time. Man, did I blow a couple of those left-handers. Thank God there were no cars.

You LA people ought to come down to SD for rides too... it only takes 1 hr 40 mins to get to SD south county :)
