Today we rejetted Dave Franklin's carbs...now some of you will remember that after I rejetted I went through a week's worth of hellish "carb-on, carb-off" trying to figure out why my bike's idle would get stuck at 3000 rpms...in the end I paid a moto-mech $150 to sort it out, receiving a b.s. answer, but just relieved that my bike was back to normal!

Well, after getting David's bike back together, guess what!? Same problem!! We messed with it for awhile, redid, rechecked...blah, blah, blah...finally messed with the carb synching adjustment screws...VOILA!!! Idle problem SOLVED!! Now I recall that people were guessing that my problem was either a vacuum leak or a carb sync problem...but I didn't mess with the screw, because I thought that since I hadn't changed it, it should be fine...obviously that was not the case. Now, I'm sure that if I had played with the adjustment screw, my carbs would have been fine! Hope that helps somebody someday!!!

What size jets did you use?

I finished mine the other day and used DynoJet 144 mains with the clip on on the third postion.

I have K&N and Yosh full system, but I think it might be a little rich.

Thanks.

I went with Mikuni 140's...not sure what the Dynojet equivalent is...I have a stock filter and a Yosh slip-on...
